Job summary
Schrödinger in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior or Principal Scientist in Structural Biology (Target Druggability and Structure‑Based Drug Design) to join our Therapeutics Group. You’ll partner with pharmacologists, biologists, chemists, and computational scientists to define target tractability, identify cryptic binding sites, and design experimental campaigns to solve challenging structures.
The ideal candidate has a PhD in structural biology or related field, deep expertise in SB/drug
Qualifications
- PhD in Structural Biology or related field
- Deep expertise in structure-based drug design and cryptic pocket identification
- Experience with cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography
- Fluency in AI-based structure prediction and MD sampling
Responsibilities
- Define druggability hypotheses by integrating structural, computational, and biophysical data
- Advance computational methods for binding site identification and pocket druggability
- Translate insights into actionable hypotheses for medicinal chemistry and biology teams
- Propose experiments to test hypotheses and de-risk emerging druggability
- Evaluate and integrate new methods into practical workflows
- Present tractability assessments to project teams and leadership
- Lead structural biology efforts with CROs and internal teams
