WCG is seeking a Senior Principal Statistical Programmer to lead complex programming initiatives for clinical trials in Cary, NC with remote work options. The role combines hands-on SAS programming with technical leadership to shape standards and deliverables across studies.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of clinical trial statistical programming experience, expert SAS skills, proficiency in R, and strong knowledge of CDISC and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 8–10 years of statistical programming experience in a clinical trial environment.
• Deep expertise in SAS programming, including complex analyses and regulatory deliverables.
• Proficiency in R programming is a must.
• Experience with CDISC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead complex programming efforts across studies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical expert in statistical programming across multiple studies.
• Design, develop, validate, and oversee complex statistical programming deliverables (analysis datasets, tables, listings, figures).
• Lead development, validation, and improvement of DMC macros and programming standards.
• Provide technical oversight and review of programming work for quality and consistency.
• Drive programming standards, best practices, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with biostatistics and study teams on complex trial designs and DMC reporting.
• Independently manage and prioritize programming activities across studies.
• Mentor and provide leadership to programming staff.
• Contribute to proposals, planning, and scope discussions.
