Collins Aerospace’s Strategic Solutions team is seeking a highly motivated Engineer passionate about collaborating with High-Performance Teams to create mission-critical solutions supporting Integrated Mission Systems.

Our Sr. Principal Software Product Owner / CAM Engineer will work in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment that promotes rapid learning and success. This role involves serving as Product Owner and CAM for a Software Team, interacting with Systems Engineering, Software Architects, Scrum Masters, and Engineers, supporting a large program. The position is located onsite in Richardson, TX, and will support shaping the future of NC3 defense systems for the armed forces.

Responsibilities
  1. Act as Product Owner, bridging the Software Team and Systems Engineering, managing backlog and execution.

  2. Work directly with IPT Lead, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers on Mission Critical System programs.

  3. Serve as the CAM (Control Account Manager) to ensure flawless execution.

  4. Interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across a large program.

  5. Mentor Interns, Junior, Senior, and Principal Engineers.

Learning Opportunities
  • Gain knowledge within Strategic Nuclear Deterrence domains and develop niche skills.

  • Learn and apply new technologies and techniques.

Qualifications
  • Typically requires a degree in STEM and 10+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years of experience.

  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems).

  • Experience as a CAM (Control Account Manager).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. government security clearance.

  • Experience with Agile SDLC, Requirements Management, Software-System Engineering, UML, SysML, MBSE, CAMEO, Jira.
