Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in EDA software. We seek a Principal Engineer for the QuestaSim R&D team to architect simulation tools and take ownership from conception through delivery.

You will work with a senior group of engineers on challenging, high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have extensive software engineering experience, deep C/C++ and compiler expertise, and a strong background in UNIX/Linux.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, data structures, and algorithms.
• Deep expertise in compiler concepts and optimizations.
• Experience working on UNIX and Linux platforms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and architect cutting-edge algorithms and software design solutions for industry-leading simulation tools.
• Lead the conceptualization, definition, and implementation of complex, open-ended problem scopes and innovative ideas.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of production-quality components, algorithms, and engines while improving existing codebases.
• Solve complex software problems in collaboration with senior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Apply technical expertise and analytical thinking to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through self-motivation, discipline, and focus on achieving personal and team goals.
