What Your Job Will Be Like

We seek a highly motivated Computer Science/Software Engineer to develop software for specialized RF communication systems used in national security. Projects vary from urgent, quick-response tasks to long-term, critical efforts, involving systems like ultra-low power RF transceivers, satellite payloads, UAV applications, and handheld devices. You will join a multidisciplinary, high-performance team and may travel occasionally.

Daily responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining software codebases using standard methodologies.
2. Innovating to enhance processes and products.
3. Improving development techniques.
4. Assisting with project scheduling.
5. Guiding technical direction with a big-picture view.
6. Creating test procedures and documenting designs.

Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range

$114,000 - $227,500, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications We Require

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience demonstrating independent research and development skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance, possibly requiring a polygraph.

Qualifications We Desire

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field with extensive programming experience.
• Familiarity with modern software practices (e.g., Agile).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Active DOE Q or DOD TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.

• At least 4 years of experience with C/C++ systems programming.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), git, Agile methodologies, embedded systems, GPU-based DSP algorithms, automation, CI/CD tools (Ansible, Gitlab CI), RF and digital communication principles.
