Providence Shared Services in the United States seeks a Senior Principal Software Engineer to own end-to-end development and ensure quality across complex healthcare software solutions.
You will evaluate requirements, design and implement solutions, manage risks, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver enterprise-wide programs while leveraging cloud platforms and modern development practices.
The Senior Principal Software Engineer takes end-to-end ownership for the development and quality of solutions and services that delight caregivers and add strategic value to Providence St. Joseph Health. They evaluate requirements, estimate costs, design and implement solutions, and define quality criteria using measurements and insights to validate the caregiver experience. They manage and improve the engineering process, handle risks and dependencies, integrate software into broader ecosystems, and consistently demonstrate personal accountability for the entire solution or service. The role requires a blend of technology, product, and business acumen, adeptness at designing and documenting systems, writing code across the software ecosystem, and influencing multiple projects to successful completion.
