Want to shape the future of Avionics? This position is for an experienced professional to join the Autonomy Aircraft Systems and Integration team in the Aerospace Technologies – Applied Research and Technology department. This group supports the Avionics Strategic Business Unit in researching, maturing, and transitioning technologies that enable advanced capabilities and operations in commercial aviation. The team is cross-functional and composed of systems, software, hardware, and human factors engineers with a variety of expertise. Areas of near-term focus include Autonomy Lab and Jet Integration and automation capability definition.

As an Aircraft Autonomy Systems and Integration engineer, you will be part of a highly motivated and innovative team supporting the development of rapid prototypes and proof of concepts for internal and external demonstrations. This is a unique position where every day will be a little bit different with new challenges and problems to be solved. This will allow you to use your skills and push you to continually to learn new ones. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Systems Engineering and Integration, a background in aviation, and a passion for defining new solutions.

This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
