Senior Principal Security Engineer - NY Remote

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing Capsule's code, infrastructure, and people. You will implement security measures, shape strategies and policies, and foster a security-aware culture to maintain trust.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security policies, oversee audits, establish control monitoring, create assurance programs, conduct risk assessments, and deliver security training.
  • Lead risk assessments, evaluate impact and exposure, and develop mitigation strategies based on findings.
  • Collaborate with IT/SRE/DEV teams on IAM policies, ensure compliance with security standards through audits.
  • Create and execute security awareness programs, including training, reports, and simulations.
  • Develop secure coding training, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to secure development practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Security, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years in SaaS/Cloud environments with technical leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of Identity Management, API integration, Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Application and SaaS security experience in production.
  • Familiarity with security libraries, controls, and vulnerabilities in Python, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript/React/Node, and mobile.
  • Experience with incident management.
  • Proficiency in data engineering, machine learning, distributed systems, security engineering.
  • Technical credibility across IT/SRE/Security/Development domains.
  • Ability to coordinate with remote and on-site engineers.
  • Humble, servant leader attitude.
