Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Principal RF Antenna Systems Engineer at our St. Petersburg, FL facility.

You will lead the architecture, design, and fielding of advanced phased array antenna systems for mission-critical defense applications, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and interfacing with customers and program leadership. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 12–15+ years in phased array/antenna systems or Master’s with 10–13+ years
Extensive design, analysis, fabrication, integration and test experience with complex phased array antenna systems
Proficiency with electromagnetic modeling and measurement tools and signal processing concepts

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for architecture, design, analysis, integration and production of advanced phased array antennas
Lead multi-disciplinary team through concept development, modeling, hardware implementation and testing
Develop system concepts with customers and translate needs into traceable requirements
Manage requirements development, allocation and traceability to meet system objectives
Conduct trade studies on performance, cost, risk and manufacturability
Oversee design reviews and verification/validation activities
Guide array simulation, beamforming architecture, and performance validation
Create technical documentation including architectures, interfaces, verification plans and test procedures
Identify emerging antenna/RF technologies and inform program strategy
Support business development with technical proposals and customer engagements
