Job summary
Leidos in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Senior Principal RF Antenna Systems Engineer to serve as senior technical authority and system architect for advanced phased array antenna systems.
The role leads architecture, design, analysis, integration, and fielding of complex RF systems for defense applications, working with DoD customers and program teams. You will mentor diverse engineering teams, develop system requirements, and guide design reviews, modeling, and validation activities to ensure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 12–15+ years in phased array or advanced antenna systems.
- Experience designing and testing complex phased array antenna systems including array geometries.
- Proficiency with HFSS, FEKO, CST, and MATLAB for modeling and verification.
- Strong leadership skills and experience directing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience with DoD programs and government customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, analysis, integration, and fielding of advanced RF antenna systems.
- Mentor multi-disciplinary teams through concept development and qualification testing.
- Translate mission needs into system requirements and performance specs.
- Guide trade studies on performance, cost, risk, and producibility.
- Oversee design reviews and V&V activities with government customers.
