Job summary
SAIC seeks a target-tracking radar signals engineer to support modeling, simulation and analyses of radar scenarios tracking satellites in all Earth orbits. You will design radar signal concepts, analyze antenna performance, and evaluate detection and tracking accuracy within an agile team in Northern Virginia.

Qualifications
- Education: Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, or related technical field.
- Experience: Bachelor’s +14 yrs, Master’s +12 yrs, or PhD +9 yrs.
- Experience in target-tracking radar signals and satellite tracking.
- Programming: Python, C++, MATLAB or similar.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with ability to pass polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Design radar signal concepts and processing algorithms for satellite tracking.
- Analyze antenna performance and radar targets in various Earth orbits.
- Assess detection, acquisition, tracking and characterization performance.
- Model radar returns using 3D satellite models (optional).
- Collaborate on simulations with astrodynamics, AI, and HPC teams.
- Develop and present actionable technical briefings as needed.
