Job summary

Littelfuse is seeking a Senior Principal R&D Engineer to lead next‑generation High Voltage Power semiconductor technologies. You will drive technology roadmaps, mentor teams, and collaborate with Product Eng, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and Applications to advance device platforms.

You will define strategic directions, solve critical challenges, publish patents, and contribute to leadership reviews with strong emphasis on device physics and TCAD simulations.

Qualifications

• PhD in Semiconductor Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of R&D experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience with high-voltage (>1000V) IGBT and MOSFET technologies; wide bandgap is desirable.
• Deep expertise in device physics, TCAD simulations, process integration, reliability, and characterization.
• Proven ability to lead complex technology development activities and solve challenging technical problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
• Passion for innovation, technical excellence, and mentoring engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Define technology roadmaps and long-term strategies for High Voltage Power Semiconductor device platforms.
• Lead complex technology development projects from concept through production release.
• Mentor and develop R&D engineers across multiple semiconductor device disciplines.
• Utilize TCAD and other modeling tools to develop innovative device architectures.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Marketing, Applications, and Sales teams.
