About The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Poland AP1000 Project Engineering team within the Engineering and Licensing disciplines. Your responsibilities include planning and executing scopes of work to support the delivery of the first AP1000 Reactors in Poland.

You will report to the Senior Project Manager and work a hybrid schedule, requiring 2-3 days on-site at a Westinghouse US Engineering Location.

• Rock Hill, SC (near Charlotte, NC)
• Columbia, SC
• Cranberry Woods, PA (Greater Pittsburgh Area)
• Etna, PA (Greater Pittsburgh Area)

No relocation assistance is provided. Candidates must be authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future, as we cannot sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
• Manage contract profitability and coordinate team members.
• Oversee scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, and communication.
• Communicate project requirements and changes through an integrated change management process.
• Prepare and oversee project cost forecasts and progress reports, including Earned Value Management.
• Ensure project expenditures align with baselines and scope.
• Maintain project process metrics and maps.
• Archive project documentation upon completion.
• Conduct final quality assessments and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with team members and partners.
• Seek continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of senior or principal level experience.
• 2+ years relevant experience, possibly including nuclear projects.
• Experience coordinating small to medium-scale projects.
• Knowledge of PMI standards.
• Proficiency with software like P6, SAP, ARM, or similar, and techniques including Earned Value Management.
• Ability to develop relationships with upper management to analyze problems and make complex decisions.
