Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior engineering leader to define and evolve the AINF Workbench platform architecture, driving reusable SDKs, APIs, and developer tools. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable services, governance, and enterprise-ready interoperability across ecosystems.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in enterprise software, 7+ years in platform strategy, and hands-on experience with AI agents and modern cloud-native stacks.

Job description

Location: Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA. Travel up to 10% within NJ/PA and occasionally across North America.

Role & Responsibilities

• Define/evolve technical architecture and engineering strategy for AINF Workbench platform.
• Build shared-service integration and full-stack requirements for adoption at scale (gateway services, runtime capabilities).
• Create foundational frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and developer platforms.
• Lead reusable agent frameworks, skills definition, and agent integration strategies.
• Establish enterprise interoperability standards (MCP, A2A, A2UI).
• Create a reusable catalog of AI services/tools/agents/business capabilities.
• Partner with AI Core to implement governed agent execution, observability, security controls, discoverability, and platform operations.
• Ensure interoperability with broader enterprise ecosystem via APIs/standardized contracts.
• Define engineering quality metrics (reuse, adoption, reliability, velocity, productivity, AI effectiveness).
• Build an engineering organization to support long-term AINF roadmap (AI channels, AI production, autonomous execution, enterprise adoption).

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years enterprise software engineering (digital products/platforms/distributed systems)
• 7+ years lead/principal/engineering lead for platform architecture/strategy
• 2+ years developing/using AI agents and orchestration platforms
• Platform modernization + enterprise engineering standards
• Reusable platforms/frameworks/SDKs over standalone apps
• Regulated/complex enterprise experience
• Cloud-native AWS expertise (API Gateway, Lambda, EKS, EC2, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager)
• Modern cloud-native dev: TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, React, NextJS, GraphQL, REST, SSR/SSG/CSR
• Enterprise AI ecosystems: LLM integrations, multi-agent systems, orchestration, RAG, tool-calling, context engineering, AI observability/governance, A2A, MCP integrations
• Hands-on: Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, IaC; platform observability; deep XENA platform knowledge

• Pharmaceutical/healthcare/regulated industry experience
• Enterprise agent platforms; Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs)
• Reusable enterprise SDKs/framework libraries

Required Base Pay Range (anticipated): $137,000–$236,325
