Job summary

Luminary Cloud is seeking a Senior/Principal Solutions Engineer to partner with customers on their engineering challenges at the intersection of physics-based AI and high-fidelity simulation. You will translate complex CAE problems into clear technical opportunities, work with both engineers and leaders, and shape solutions around simulation workflows.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience suitable for Senior/Principal level.
• Strong experience with engineering simulation (CFD/CAE).
• Customer-facing technical experience (Solutions Engineering, Applications Engineering, Technical Consulting, or presales).
• Strong communication skills with hands-on engineers and technical leaders.
• Familiarity with Python, APIs, SDKs, or engineering workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and define approaches for complex CAE use cases.
• Deliver technical demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept tailored to customer needs.
• Partner with Account Executives through the sales cycle and with engineering teams on technical engagements.
• Help customers understand how Physics AI, simulation, and automation fit into their workflows.
• Identify risks, integration requirements, and gaps; contribute to proposals and scopes of work.
• Provide feedback to Product/Engineering and develop reusable demos and content.
• Identify and scope new use cases with existing customers.
• Travel to customer sites for workshops, demos, and technical reviews.
