Luminary is seeking a Senior/Principal Applied AI/ML Scientist to build Physics AI models that empower customer outcomes. You will operate at the intersection of research and applied delivery, designing architectures and deploying models into production workflows.

Join a matrix-structured team, collaborating with Lead Delivery Engineers, Applications Engineers, and Data & Platform teams to scale models across industries from automotive to energy.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in applied machine learning, with exposure to scientific computing or physics-informed ML.
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills; production-quality ML code beyond notebooks.
• Hands-on experience training and deploying models on engineering or scientific data.
• Experience with distributed training, GPU workloads, and modern ML infra.

Responsibilities

• Own model development for Physics AI engagements: architecture selection, training pipelines, and validation.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineers to ensure meaningful training data.
• Partner with Data & Platform teams to operationalize training, registries, and inference serving.
• Apply state-of-the-art techniques to real customer problems and advance model literacy on the customer side.
• Mentor junior teammates and contribute to internal best practices.
