Your Role

The Network Contracting and Trend Analytics (NTA) team supports the Network Management team with analytical and financial modeling for provider contracting and network development activities for Blue Shield of California. The Senior Principal, Medical Informatics of NTA will report to the Senior Director of NTA. In this role, you will be responsible for behavioral health finance analytics, including measurement of internal healthcare costs, reporting, analytics supporting care coordination opportunities, and oversight of provider contracting analytics.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a college degree or equivalent experience.


• Preferred qualifications include MPH, MBA, MS, MA, RN, or RHIA.


• Requires 10 years of relevant experience.


• Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare, including managed care, academia, or government payers.


• Experience in healthcare contracting with a behavioral health specialty is necessary.


• Experience developing programs that translate into CoHC savings, with extensive vendor knowledge of financial healthcare within behavioral health.


• Proficiency in behavioral health financial reporting and modeling.


• Comfortable with an evolving business model seeking optimal solutions in behavioral health.


• SAS Certified Base Programmer or Advanced Programmer Credential, or equivalent, required.
