Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer (Lead) based in Charleston, WV. This role provides mechanical engineering leadership for design and delivery across oil, gas, chemical and power projects, including equipment selection and system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• 15+ years of capital project experience; 10+ years in engineering; 7+ years in lead roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering leadership from concept through commissioning.
• Lead planning activities: effort-hour estimates, schedules, staffing plans, and execution strategies.
• Report progress, risks, and opportunities to project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and approve specs, calculations, drawings for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and other equipment.
• Ensure deliverables comply with regulatory requirements, standards, and customer specifications.
• Coach and mentor engineers and designers; collaborate across disciplines.
