Job summary

Human Rights Campaign is seeking a Senior Principal & Major Gifts Officer to build relationships with HRC's crucial financial base. The role reports to the Senior Director – Major Gifts and collaborates with the Chief Development Officer and leadership across the Major Gifts team.

The position supports the Federal Club Council and Principal Giving programs, with responsibilities spanning principal giving, major gifts, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience.

Responsibilities

• Principal Giving (40%): manage a 75-person portfolio and develop multi-year cultivation and stewardship strategies.
• Major Gifts Fundraising (40%): identify, cultivate and steward donors at the $5,000+ level and target $25,000+ gifts.
• Special Projects (20%): manage invites for President and senior staff for events and high-visibility activities.
