Oracle is seeking a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Services team within Oracle Analytics. Our team is responsible for innovating, building, and supporting data service management technologies that underpin our diverse product portfolio.

The mission of the Data Services organization is to facilitate the development of advanced analytical and AI applications across the Oracle ecosystem, including Databases, Applications, and Object Storages. We offer capabilities for data management and processing such as Big Data Service, Data Catalog, Data Flow, Data Integration Service, and Data Lake. Our new data product aims to provide a unified interface for data loading, security, notebook authoring, data pipelines, ML training, SQL querying, and data sharing, emphasizing developer experience and AI assistance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services for our new product.
• Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and operation.
• Mentor and lead other engineers, promoting best practices and innovation.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, and distributed systems.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, performance optimization, and cloud platforms (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Search, Code Generation, and Big Data frameworks like Apache Spark.
• Excellent collaboration, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
