Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Principal Instrumentation Engineer for a 12-month engagement, with remote or in-office work available at Reading, Kansas City, or Charlotte locations. The role emphasizes leadership across instrumentation and controls engineering for technically demanding projects.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in instrumentation and controls, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of relevant standards. PE in the United States is desirable.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Power instrumentation experience required.
• Strong project leadership and central role in project execution.
• Sound knowledge of local and international standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instrumentation and controls engineering services per customer requirements and standards.
• Lead or supervise instrumentation and controls activities on projects, define requirements and monitor progress.
• Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports and follow change management processes.
• Ensure project scope is understood and changes managed through proper processes.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction and commissioning, including bid evaluation and purchase orders.
• Resolve discrepancies between customer and company requirements proactively.
• Mentor junior instrumentation and controls team members.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers, including formal presentations.
