Job summary

The Senior Philanthropy Officer at the University of Pennsylvania manages a high‑level donor portfolio and leads engagement, solicitation, and stewardship for principal gifts of $5 million and above. Qualifications

• Master’s level fundraising experience and leadership in higher education preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to travel at least 25% of the time and work with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Personally manage a high‑level portfolio of alumni, family foundations, and friends with $5M+ gift potential.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward principal gifts level donors.
• Drive personalized engagement with campus partners and senior University leaders.
