Job summary

WSP in the United States seeks a Senior Principal Geologist / Senior Technical Manager to lead site investigation and remediation efforts in the Pacific Northwest. Based in Redmond, WA or Portland, OR, you’ll drive technical excellence, guide MTCA/CERCLA/RCRA programs, and mentor project teams while collaborating with clients and regulators.

You will provide senior advisory services, lead complex decisions, and help pursue strategic opportunities across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible environmental consulting experience.
• Professional registration as a Licensed Hydrogeologist (LHG), Professional Geologist (PG), or equivalent credential.
• Demonstrated expertise with Washington MTCA, Oregon environmental regulations, CERCLA, RCRA, and associated regulatory programs.
• Significant experience leading contaminated site investigations and remedial actions.
• Strong technical writing, data interpretation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical issues and client relationships.
• Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and professional excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of complex site investigation and remediation projects from planning through implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and technical approaches.
• Work with engineers, chemists, toxicologists, risk assessors, GIS specialists, and data managers.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
• Represent WSP in client meetings, regulatory forums, and business development activities.
