Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Engineer (Sr. Principal) to join our team in Chantilly, VA, delivering scalable, maintainable, high-performance applications for government projects.

You will design, implement, and manage frontend and/or backend components, work with SPRING Boot, Hibernate, and modern frontend frameworks, and collaborate across teams in an Agile environment. US Citizenship is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with full-stack development and government projects.
• Location: Chantilly, VA on customer site.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement frontend and/or backend components.
• Develop reusable UI components and ensure accessibility.
• Collaborate with the development team to build APIs and services.
• Maintain and upgrade Spring Boot/Hibernate components.
• Support Agile development processes.
