Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a Packaging R&D Senior Principal Engineer to lead the North America Sabra business packaging agenda from our Plano, TX or Sabra's VA facility. You will drive packaging innovation, sustainability, quality, and cost improvements, leveraging deep materials science and manufacturing tech expertise.

The role reports to PepsiCo’s Global Foods Packaging team and requires strategic leadership, 10+ years of packaging experience, and the ability to travel domestically up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years Foods or Beverage Packaging experience, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Mastery of packaging materials, polymer science, packaging equipment technologies, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop short and long term packaging strategies to optimize consumer experience and sustainability.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Design, Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement to build new business propositions.
• Lead a team of 1-2 packaging associates to deliver packaging innovation and productivity.
• Coach teams to grow capabilities and drive an inclusive learning culture.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies related to packaging materials and processes.
