Job summary

Patelco Credit Union is seeking a Sr Principal Financial Risk to lead the financial risk management program, including liquidity, interest rates, capital, and modeling. You will influence senior leaders, validate complex models, and champion risk-aware decision-making across the organization.

The role requires 10+ years in risk management with 5+ in leadership, and hands-on experience with ALM, stress testing, and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Mgmt or related field.
• 10+ years in financial risk management, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience in credit unions/banks is highly desirable.
• Proven experience with financial modeling, stress testing, ALM, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the financial risk management framework.
• Lead development and validation of advanced risk models.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and the board on risk strategy.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across liquidity, interest rate, ALM, and credit risk.
