Job Description
Prime Therapeutics is modernizing its product portfolio and technology platforms. This role provides technical vision and leadership to align IT solutions with business outcomes, offering architectural oversight for strategic initiatives impacting State Government Solutions, products, capabilities, and technologies.
The Enterprise Portfolio Architect leads strategic capability changes, including new products, initiatives, systems, infrastructure, and shared services. They define architecture to support enterprise solutions across domains, ensuring alignment with governance and standards, and develop target-state guidance for architecture evolution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the State Government Solutions portfolio strategy to achieve enterprise goals.
- Create architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and presentations to promote the strategy.
- Identify opportunities for shared capabilities to reduce costs and improve integration.
- Lead architecture and solution definition for impactful products and initiatives, supporting business case development.
- Research and adopt emerging technology trends relevant to the portfolio.
- Engage stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities that enable business outcomes.
- Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for IT solutions.
- Maintain architecture blueprints (current, transition, future states) within the assigned area.
- Analyze the business-IT environment to identify deficiencies and technical debt, recommending improvements.
- Govern architecturally significant work, ensuring alignment with strategies through reviews and collaboration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coach and mentor technical experts and peers to develop enabling architecture.
- Improve enterprise and portfolio architecture practices continuously.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. HS diploma or GED required.
- 10+ years in Business Analysis, System Design, Engineering, or Architecture; 5+ years in an Architect role.
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Business analysis and architecture experience, including capability modeling and process optimization.
- Experience defining architecture standards for domains.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead architecture teams and initiatives.
- Practical understanding of multiple domain areas.
- Self-directed learner with independent working ability.
- Experience with various solution types, including cloud solutions.
- Senior architect experience on enterprise initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools and SAFe Agile Framework.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of business and enterprise architecture development.
- Experience with healthcare compliance (HIPAA, PCI).
- Background in Pharmacy Benefit Management or healthcare.
- Experience in Agile/Product Delivery environments.
- Master’s degree or higher in related fields.
- Expertise in multiple architectural domains.
- Relevant certifications and modeling experience.

Reporting Structure
Reports to AVP Enterprise Architecture.
Salary range: $143,000 - $243,000 based on experience.
