Job Description

Prime Therapeutics is undergoing an exciting transformation to modernize our product portfolio and associated technology platforms. This role provides technical vision and leadership to align IT solutions with business outcomes and oversee architecture for strategic initiatives impacting Prime’s State Government Solutions line of business, products, capabilities, and technologies.

The Enterprise Portfolio Architect initiates and leads strategic capability changes that fulfill specific business and technology outcomes, including new products, initiatives, systems, shared infrastructure and application services. They lead architecture definition tasks to support enterprise solutions that cross multiple domains, ensuring solutions meet business needs and align with governance and standards. This position owns the creation of deliverables that develop target-state guidance for evolving architecture across the enterprise for this line of business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the State Government Solutions portfolio strategy development to achieve enterprise goals
• Manage and communicate the portfolio strategy via architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and executive presentations
• Promote decision-making at organizational levels and identify opportunities for shared capabilities to reduce costs and improve integration
• Lead architecture and solution definition for strategic products and initiatives, evaluate impacts, and support business case development
• Research and lead the adoption of emerging technology trends relevant to the portfolio
• Engage stakeholders to identify innovation opportunities that enable business outcomes
• Assist in developing policies, standards, guidelines, and reference implementations for IT solutions
• Develop and evolve architecture blueprints (current, transition, future states)
• Analyze the business-IT environment to detect deficiencies and technical debt, recommending investments for improvement
• Govern architecturally significant work, aligning with strategies through reviews and collaboration
• Work cross-functionally to support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle
• Mentor and collaborate with technical experts and peers to develop enabling architecture
• Drive consistency and continual improvement in architecture practices
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required
• 10 years of related experience in Business Analysis, System Design, Development, Systems Engineering, or architecture, including 5 years in an Architect role
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis, capability modeling, value stream, design thinking, and business case development
• Experience standardizing architecture definitions within assigned domain
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead architecture teams and initiatives
• Broad understanding of multiple domain areas with practical solutions
• Self-directed learner with the ability to work independently
• Experience with various solution types, including cloud and legacy systems
• Previous senior architect experience on enterprise initiatives
• Experience with enterprise architecture tools and SAFe Agile Framework

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of business and enterprise architecture development
• Experience with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI)
• Background in healthcare or pharmacy benefits
• Experience in Agile/Product Delivery
• Strong SDLC and project management knowledge
• Master’s degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of multiple architectural domains
• Formal EA training and certification
• Experience modeling with industry-standard notation
