Job summary

Mirantis, an IREN company, seeks a Senior Principal Engineer for k0rdent to set technical direction across core, AI infrastructure, and AI applications. You will own architectural coherence, mentor senior engineers, and partner with leadership to translate product strategy into durable technical execution.

You will drive cross-departmental strategy, design high-risk components, and represent Mirantis in external forums, ensuring the platform scales across clouds and workloads with strong

Qualifications

• Expert-level breadth across Kubernetes internals, distributed systems, AI/ML runtimes, and observability.
• Ability to design large-scale, multi-tenant systems spanning multiple subsystems.
• Clear written communication of complex tradeoffs and architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve multi-quarter technical roadmap for k0rdent.
• Architect cross-pillar components and ensure coherent platform across Core k0rdent, AI Infrastructure, and AI Apps.
• Set engineering standards for API design, testing, observability, performance, security, and multi-tenancy.
• Mentor Staff and Principal engineers and support senior IC hiring.
