Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aerospace, seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to join the MSEN organization. You will serve as the technical authority for the engine lubrication system, providing leadership across requirements, modeling, validation, and risk retirement, while guiding a small engineering team.

You will lead system-level requirements and performance assessments, develop and validate fluid-flow models with Dymola, Easy5, MATLAB/Simulink, and mentor engineers to deliver results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7 years.
• Strong modeling and simulation skills using Dymola, Easy5, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Ability to lead a small technical team and coordinate across interfaces.
• Willingness to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level requirements, interfaces, and performance assessments for engine lubrication systems.
• Develop and validate steady-state and transient fluid-flow models using Dymola, Easy5, MATLAB, Simulink or comparable tools.
• Lead a small technical team through design reviews, validation, and data analysis.
• Mentor engineers and present technical findings to leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.
