Position Overview

EMI/EMC Electrical Engineer at Northrop Grumman, based in Woodland Hills, CA. This mid‑level position focuses on hardware design, analysis, and EMI/EMC engineering with a requirement for an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical circuit analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Support development of EMI/EMC requirements and hardware design at the sub‑system level.
• Conduct design analysis to verify compliance with EMI/EMC standards.
• Collaborate in a team environment with a focus on empowerment, shared responsibility, and continuous learning.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with eight years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with six years, or Ph.D. with four years.
• Prior experience in analog circuit design, modeling, and simulation.
• Electronic hardware design experience.
• Knowledge of MIL‑STD461, MIL‑STD464, and DO‑160.
• Experience with EMI/EMC simulation, modeling, and testing.
• Experience modeling and simulation with PSPICE.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time in Woodland Hills, CA.

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency using CST CAE tools.
• Experience with EMP simulation, modeling, and testing.
• Signal integrity analysis and knowledge of Cadence or Siemens HyperLynx high‑speed analysis tools.
• Sub‑system and system‑level EMI/EMC testing experience.
• Knowledge of circuit simulation and modeling using Ansys EMCPlus.

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary range: $137,400.00 – $206,000.00
• 9/80 work schedule (nine‑hour days Monday‑Thursday, alternate Fridays off)
• Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for higher level positions.
