Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr. Principal Embedded Engineer Software – 15130 to support the Sentinel program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Manhattan Beach, California.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80 schedule, allowing employees to take every other Friday off. The role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Sr. Principal Embedded Engineer Software: 8 Years with Bachelor’s in STEM, 6 Years with Master’s, 4 Years with PhD
  • US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance within the last 6 years
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • 4+ years in developing software in C/C++/C#, Python or similar
  • 4+ years in object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • 2+ years in hardware/software communication interfaces, real-time data analytics
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering using Cameo
  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum teams, Atlassian Tool Suite

Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing software for hard real-time systems or hardware devices
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and create coherent plans
  • Experience with embedded operating system software development or debugging
  • Experience integrating SWIL
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to manage technical scope and support leadership planning

Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00. Additional benefits include potential overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, long-term incentives, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
