We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer in Richardson, TX, with experience in analog and RF design. This lead position is responsible for developing and upgrading electronic solutions across multiple programs and disciplines. The role involves mentoring engineers in circuit card, firmware, software, and systems design, and ensuring products comply with standards like MIL-STD-461. The position requires designing electrical components, collaborating with mechanical and software teams, developing PCB and system requirements, and supporting testing teams.

What You Will Do

  • Research, develop, design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate electronic components and circuitry, ensuring timely and quality delivery within budget.
  • Prepare engineering drawings and specifications for equipment, facilities, and systems.
  • Create documentation for hardware/software proprietary descriptions, product development, schedules, costs, and performance analysis.
  • Engage in engineering research, development, and design to meet quality standards and business goals.
  • Produce products according to specifications using cost-effective methods.
  • Analyze new or improved electronic components, including power systems, high-voltage communication, and servomechanisms.
  • Mentor product leaders and engineers in hardware and systems design practices.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Degree in STEM field with minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years, or 14 years of experience without a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to train and mentor early-career engineers.
  • Good communication skills suitable for all audience levels.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Experience with new architecture development, pre-CAD circuit design, industry design tools, RF hardware, and military applications.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and tools like Jira, Confluence, DOORs, and Siemens Xpedition.
  • Experience in high-speed digital and RF systems, EMI/EMC standards, and developing test procedures.
