Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Principal or Senior Electrical Engineer to act as the electrical authority for hydrogen fuel cell power systems. You will lead high‑power converter design, embedded controls, system architecture, and Stage-Gate execution across concept to production.

You will own DV/PV testing, DFMEA, EMI/EMC, and design-for-manufacture readiness while mentoring engineers and collaborating with Supply Chain and Operations for a reliable, compliant product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience in power electronics development in regulated/high-reliability industries.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and validate DC/DC power converters for fuel cell systems.
• Lead EMI/EMC mitigation from schematic to system validation.
• Own electrical architecture, harness design, grounding, isolation, and safety schemes.
• Lead Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) and DV/PV test execution.
• Mentor engineers and drive design-for-manufacture readiness with Supply Chain.
