Job summary

ZT Systems in Secaucus, NJ seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and debugging of cloud compute server systems, PCBs, IO backplanes, and related hardware from concept through production launch. You will own specifications, BOMs, layout decisions and mentor engineers while coordinating with suppliers to deliver high-quality products on time.

This role requires 12+ years in PCB design with strong analog/digital skills and experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Masters degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
• 12+ years of experience in design and debugging of computer-related PCB boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to develop system-level architectures and board-level implementations from concept to production launch.
• Prepare specifications, BOM, design, and schematic entries; supervise junior engineers and external suppliers.
• Make PCB layout and design decisions; ensure compliance with electrical requirements and signal integrity.
• Analyze designs with simulations and validation tools to meet design requirements.
• Mentor layout, system bring-up, and debug teams; coordinate with suppliers and engineers to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Define production test methods and limits; balance cost, performance and schedule across global teams.
