Iron EagleX is hiring a Senior Principal Data Scientist to join its fast-paced team in Crystal City, VA, delivering innovative analytic solutions on large, complex datasets. The role partners with analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders to translate findings into actionable insights that meet critical customer requirements.

Leverage strong Python and SQL skills, applied ML, and advanced analytics to build repeatable workflows, dashboards, and exportable outputs.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Current TS/SCI with CI polygraph
• 10+ years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent)
• Onsite in Crystal City, VA with travel as required (CONUS)
• US Citizenship required for contract

Responsibilities

• Implement structured, repeatable data analysis across large, disparate datasets to surface patterns, trends, anomalies, relationships, and other signals for mission needs.
• Explore and characterize unfamiliar datasets, assess data quality, distributions, and limitations to determine analytic approaches.
• Develop and maintain analytic tooling to automate recurring workflows and enable rapid analysis.
• Develop and evaluate applied statistical, machine learning, and algorithmic approaches for classification, clustering, anomaly detection, and predictive analysis.
• Establish validation methods, benchmarks, scoring, thresholds, and confidence measures for analytic results.
• Build interactive analytic dashboards and lightweight GUIs to support data exploration and analyst workflows.
• Create analyst-ready outputs translating findings into clear, decision-oriented insights.
• Work with analysts, engineers, and staff to convert prototypes into reusable pipelines and documented workflows.
• Support integration, testing, and refinement of analytic methods in operational environments.
• Document analytic methodologies and limitations to promote reproducibility and improvement
