Job summary

ABC Fitness is seeking a Senior Data Architect/Engineer to define and drive the data architecture strategy across AWS and the Databricks Lakehouse. You will design scalable data models, ensure governance, and mentor data teams while partnering with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities include leading large-scale data projects, implementing governance, and continuously evaluating data technologies to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering or data architecture experience.
• Experience designing data models and warehouses in lakehouse environments.
• Strong SQL and Python coding skills; translate complexity into efficient code.
• Ability to mentor data engineers and lead remote teams in Agile settings.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture strategy.
• Design scalable data models, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and metadata documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and supervise contractors.
