Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Senior Principal Cyber Engineer to lead cyber engineering projects, mentor engineers, and interact with clients. The role includes on-site travel for test events and coordination with customers to secure systems in real-world scenarios.

We require TS/SCI clearance, a STEM degree, and extensive C/C++ on Unix/Linux experience. Onsite role with a strong emphasis on leadership, collaboration, and delivering secure, high-performance cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of engineering experience or equivalent.
• Strong C/C++ on Unix/Linux with Make/CMake; Python experience preferred.
• Experience with source control, networking, memory management, and low-level concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber engineering projects; guide engineers and ensure requirements are met.
• Serve as primary technical contact with clients; translate requirements to tasks.
• Travel for test events; perform on-site assessments and secure client systems.
• Mentor junior engineers; provide technical guidance and career development.
• Develop and maintain technical docs, project plans, and progress reports.
