Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Principal, Counsel to partner with the ISR sector on complex legal matters, including government contracts and aircraft purchasing. This on-site role supports US and international customers and requires JD and active license.

Experience in DoD contracting, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to ethics and compliance are essential for success in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15 years of extensive experience managing contracts, aircraft purchasing agreements, and complex maintenance, repair and overhaul agreements.
• Graduate degree with 13 years of extensive experience managing contracts, aircraft purchasing agreements, and complex maintenance repair and overhaul agreements.
• Must have a Doctorate (JD) degree and an active state license to practice law.
• Government contracts experience within the US DoD market, including both U.S. and international government and commercial customers.
• Active Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partners with sector leaders to assess, predict, and manage legal risks in an internationally operating business.
• Advises and acts as a trusted business partner on legal matters related to sector objectives.
• Provides guidance on risk mitigation, contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and other legal issues.
• Negotiates, drafts, revises, and analyzes agreements, contracts, memoranda, and legal documents.
