Job summary

Synvert is seeking a Senior/Principal Cloud Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data platforms across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, focusing on data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouses. You will own architectural decisions, guide data transformation projects, and mentor others.

The role requires strong consulting skills, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for emerging technologies, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to shape standards and Communities of Practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM-related field or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Principal) hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Architecture.
• Proven expertise with leading cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and technologies like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures (Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Mesh).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automated deployment.

Job description

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM-related field, or an equivalent qualification.


• 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Principal) of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Architecture.


• Proven expertise with at least one leading cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or Google Cloud, as well as technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable platforms.


• Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and Data Mesh concepts.


• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.


• Extensive experience building scalable data pipelines and processing structured and unstructured data.


• Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions and successfully deliver complex cloud and data transformation projects.


• Strong consulting and communication skills with confidence in interacting with customers and stakeholders at different organizational levels.


• Passion for mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and taking technical leadership responsibilities.


• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
