Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a strategic leader to head clinical database programming across its development portfolio. The role combines hands-on programming with governance, aiming to elevate data quality and inspection readiness across therapeutic areas.

You will influence cross‑functional teams, define standards, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s with 6+ years of related experience, or
• PharmD/PhD with 4+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated success as a leader and cross-functional influencer.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and decision-making.
• Experience with enterprise system implementations or major upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and functional ownership of clinical database programming across all clinical programs and therapeutic areas.
• Define, implement, and oversee standards, processes, and best practices for database programming to ensure consistency, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop team members as required.
• Lead clinical database programming activities including database build, data review and cleaning programs, validation, and SDV configuration.
• Oversee vendor quality and performance with CROs and consultants.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of new technologies and platform enhancements related to data collection and review.
