Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer seeks a Principal CAD/BIM Designer for our Baltimore office to collaborate with project managers and engineers on water, wastewater, and pump station projects. You will develop Revit models, create contract drawings, and ensure alignment with project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years relevant experience or associate degree/technical certification with 10+ years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk FORMA.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is preferred.
• Experience leading and coordinating construction contract drawings for medium- and large-scale projects.
• Experience mentoring early-career designers.

Responsibilities

• Developing Revit models, families, and contract documents.
• Lay out process mechanical piping and equipment in Revit to create enlarged plans, sections, and details.
• Coordinate with site civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, and I&C disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Perform clash detection at submittal milestones and support clash resolution.
• Incorporate engineer and CAD/BIM Coordinator red lines and review comments into drawings and models.
• Coordinate design submittals with project discipline leads.
• Verify deliverables comply with Hazen and client CAD/BIM standards.
