Job description

Senior Architect

HukariAscendent is a Women-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and other Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques.
• Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, MSTS or customer organizations, or projects.
• Provide expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues.
• Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
• Conduct construction document reviews as required.
• Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required.
• Interface with other design/construction disciplines, MSTS management and customers, as necessary.
• Familiarity with MicroStation computer aided drafting applications is required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Architecture with a combined 10 years’ professional architectural experience in relevant design/field experience required.
• Registered Architect with current state registration. National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) preferred.
