Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a clinically oriented physician to serve in a leadership role within the Primary Care Clinic.

You will provide patient care, supervise residents, and participate in quality improvement within a Whole Health framework. The role includes collaboration with the Chief of Primary Care, attendance at Section meetings, and responsibilities for teaching and clinical governance at VA facilities across VISN 10.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Board certification or eligibility in an approved specialty.
• EDRP eligibility and program details available through VA.
• Residency training in an approved core specialty.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct monthly Section meetings with team staff.
• Attend required Section Chief meetings with the Chief of Primary Care.
• Participate in peer reviews and FPPE/OPPE processes.
• Ensure staffing levels and coverage in the Primary Care Clinic.
• Provide supervision and teaching to residents, students, and nurse practitioners.
