Senior Pricing Analyst | PE-Backed Healthtech SaaS | Boston
We’re partnering with a market-leading B2B SaaS provider providing practice management software to specialist healthcare clinics across the US, with offerings spanning software, usage-based billing, RCM and payments.
The business is mid-way through a platform modernization, moving customers onto a new generation of products with a simpler, value-based pricing structure. The analytics and pricing execution behind that transition sit with this role.
Beyond the migration, the company is building a long-term pricing and experimentation function across software, usage-based, revenue cycle management (RCM) and payments offerings. This is a chance to own pricing end to end while the model is still being written.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on analytics role reporting to the Director of Data Analytics, with a direct line into Finance, Go-to-Market, Product and Legal. You will own the analysis and execution behind the customer pricing transition, then build the pricing and experimentation capability that follows.
The work is revenue-critical and highly visible, with real ownership from day one. It suits a self-starter who wants to move from analyzing pricing to shaping it, in a business where the pricing model itself is changing.
Responsibilities
Customer Pricing Transitions
- Analyze product usage, billing and contract data to model pricing, packaging and monetization scenarios, quantifying revenue and retention impact by customer segment.
- Segment the customer base and define the rules for routing customers to self-service or account-managed pricing conversations.
- Build consistent, explainable methods to translate current pricing into the new pricing models.
- Generate customer-level offers that meet revenue, retention and concession targets, with clear governance and outlier review.
- Monitor offer performance in real time and recommend adjustments to pricing and concessions.
- Design and analyze A/B and multivariate pricing tests, including test sizing and primary and guardrail metrics.
- Track conversion funnels, engagement and retention by customer cohort.
- Apply quasi-experimental methods where randomized tests aren’t possible.
- Build price elasticity, willingness-to-pay and churn-risk models to inform list pricing, packaging, add-ons and renewals.
- Develop monetization models for usage-based billing, RCM and payments.
- Stand up a repeatable pricing experimentation framework: test registry, standard metrics and automated readouts.
- Maintain competitive pricing benchmarks and use AI/LLM tooling to analyze customer feedback and accelerate analysis.
Reporting, Governance & Partnership
- Build reporting for Finance, Sales and Customer Success on pricing performance, discounting and concession spend.
- Monitor price realization and discount leakage across quote-to-cash, ensuring pricing logic is documented, traceable and reconciled through quote, contract and invoice.
- Partner with Finance, Go-to-Market, Product, Legal and Salesforce teams on pricing strategy, customer experience and system execution, and present findings to leadership.
What You Need
- 4+ years in pricing, monetization, revenue analytics or data science, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Advanced SQL in a cloud data warehouse, and Python for analysis and modeling.
- Hands‑on experience designing and analyzing pricing or conversion experiments.
- Strong financial modeling skills: ARR/MRR, cohort, scenario and discount impact analysis.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce data (opportunities, quotes, contracts, CPQ).
- Ability to explain pricing logic clearly to non-technical audiences, with high ownership in ambiguous, revenue-critical programs.
What We’d Like to See
- Experience with usage-based, transactional or hybrid pricing models.
- Experience leading a price migration or large-scale price change.
- Healthcare SaaS, EMR or RCM exposure.
- Snowflake or BigQuery, dbt and Git; familiarity with metering/billing platforms or payments monetization.
- Causal inference and econometrics (elasticity, incrementality, uplift modeling), and use of GenAI/LLM tools in analytics workflows.
