$85,000 - $117,000/year

About us

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, helps customers use energy more productively, reduce carbon emissions, and operate with the precision and resilience required in rapidly expanding industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education.

For more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters. Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.

What you will do

Johnson Controls creates smart, healthy, and sustainable building environments. In this role, you will help shape pricing decisions that support customers, business performance, and market responsiveness across a diverse portfolio.

You will join a collaborative team that values clear thinking, practical problem-solving, and strong partnerships across the business.

The Senior Pricing Analyst develops pricing models, researches ratemaking practices, and translates market and cost signals into clear recommendations. This is a hands‑on analytical role for someone who can work independently, partner across functions, and mentor junior analysts while helping improve pricing effectiveness over time.

How You Will Do It

Perform advanced quantitative pricing analysis to support profitability, strategic decision‑making, and continuous improvement.

Develop and manage multi-category pricing strategies aligned with customer needs, product categories, and market segments.

Research ratemaking practices and current pricing models, then turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

Analyze competitor pricing structures, market dynamics, and strategic positioning to strengthen Johnson Controls' competitive approach.

Track pricing changes in relation to commodity and material input movement and recommend timely updates to pricing strategies.

Build dynamic pricing tools and scalable automated processes that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of analysis.

Use statistical modeling to evaluate the impact of current and future pricing scenarios.

Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to align pricing strategies with business objectives.

Support cross‑functional teams with concise verbal, written, and visual communication for leadership and stakeholders.

Guide and mentor junior pricing analysts, sharing best practices and strengthening team capability.

Own the quality and integrity of your analysis by validating data, documenting assumptions, and building recommendations that leaders can trust.

Stay close to the work and the customer by partnering across Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to understand real market needs.

Improve every day by challenging assumptions, testing methods, and refining models through continuous learning and disciplined problem‑solving.

Win as one team by sharing insights openly, supporting junior analysts, and aligning your work with broader business priorities.

Remove friction for users by creating scalable, efficient, and user‑friendly automated processes for large‑scale data analysis.

Communicate with clarity and candour so complex pricing findings become simple, practical decisions for stakeholders at every level.

What we look for

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or other quantitative disciplines, with strong foundational knowledge in analytical methodologies.

A minimum of six years of relevant experience in a pricing or analytics role, showcasing a track record of success in pricing strategy development.

Proficiency in conducting quantitative analyses and developing analytical models, dashboards, data visualizations, and decision‑making tools to support strategic initiatives.

Strong technical skills in Excel, SAS, R, Python, SQL, and/or Tableau, with the ability to leverage these tools for data analysis and visualization.

Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data, research, and analyses into simple, concise, and actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling effective collaboration with peers, management, and other key stakeholders across the organization.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or other quantitative related fields, with a strong emphasis on advanced analytical techniques and strategic pricing
