Job summary

Central Insurance is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Pricing to perform pricing and rate analysis, and to conduct peer reviews of actuarial work. The role emphasizes data-driven approaches and collaboration across the department.

You will complete rate filings, develop special projects, and write/modify code to manipulate data under supervision. A strong programming background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Analytics or related field.
• 2 years of experience in an actuarial position or insurance pricing, or 4 years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R, SAS and VBA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Complete pricing and rate analysis as assigned.
• Complete peer review of Analyst work to ensure quality.
• Prepare actuarial portions of rate filings.
• Prepare special pricing projects as requested by the business.
• Modify and write code to manipulate and query data.
• Assist with training others on pricing tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of rate level indications.
• Assist in analyses of statistical experience.
• Monitor Actuarial Department communications for collaboration.
• Support continuous improvement of recurring processes.
