Job summary

Central Insurance is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Pricing to lead pricing and rate analyses using data-driven methods. You will complete peer reviews and work on actuarial components of rate filings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires a solid actuarial background, strong coding skills in Python/SQL/R/SAS/VBA, and multiple exams passed. Expect opportunities to influence pricing strategies and participate in ongoing process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial science, Statistics, Analytics or related field and 2 years of experience in an actuarial position or insurance pricing.
• Or 4 years of experience in in an actuarial position or insurance pricing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS and VBA is preferred.
• 4+ Actuarial Exams Passed is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete pricing and rate analysis as assigned.
• Perform peer reviews and assess Analyst work for quality of outputs.
• Prepare actuarial portions of rate filings and respond to questions from insurance departments.
• Handle special projects as requested by the business.
• Modify and write code to manipulate and query data with limited supervision.
• Assist in training others on pricing and rate analysis tasks.
• Assist in preparing rate level indications and analyses of statistical experience.
• Support department communications to drive consistency in actuarial work products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of recurring processes to minimize errors.
