Job summary

Assets, Inc. is seeking a Press Operator II to prepare, operate, and maintain printing presses and bindery equipment in Anchorage. You will produce multi-color and single-color books with demanding deadlines and assist with proposals and production scheduling.

The role requires experience with offset presses, prepress tasks, and strong attention to quality assurance. OSHA safety adherence and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years experience running similar offset presses with tight register multi-color work.
• 2 years experience in prepress and bindery tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company values, policies, and safety standards.
• Provide direct labor per OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with Prepress Tech to resolve job issues.
• Maintain inks, chemical inventories, and monthly paper inventory.
• Operate/maintain Heidelberg presses, folder, stitcher, cutter, and bindery gear.
• Minimize defects like misregisters, color variations, and blemishes.
