Job summary

Pylontech is seeking a capable Pre-Sales Engineer to independently support energy storage projects in the Los Angeles area. You will conduct requirements research, design solutions, model economics, and coordinate resources to drive project wins.

Responsibilities include tracking technology trends, engaging with customers, and providing feedback on product optimization to meet market needs. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 3+ years of pre-sales or technical project development experience in the energy/new energy sector.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale energy storage project solutions.
• Experience delivering energy storage projects with 5 MWh+ capacity.
• Strong customer communication and relationship management skills.

Job description

1. Independently provide technical pre-sales support for medium- to large-scale energy storage projects, including requirements research, technical clarification, solution design, equipment selection, and economic modeling.
2. Manage the full pre-sales project cycle, coordinating internal and external resources to resolve technical challenges, maintain project progress, and support successful project awards and contract execution.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of pre-sales or technical project development experience in the new energy or power industry. Experience supporting large-scale project solution design and implementation is preferred.
3. Strong understanding of energy storage systems and their applications, including battery systems, PCS, BMS, and EMS, with the ability to design energy storage project solutions.
4. Required: Demonstrated experience developing and delivering energy storage projects with a capacity of 5 MWh or greater.
5. Strong customer communication and relationship management skills.
6. Willingness to travel as required.
